A Lovely day for our Spring Pleasure Ride

Updated: Apr 21, 2023

We held our first ridden event of the year on Sunday, 16 April and we were very pleased that the rain stopped and the sun made an appearance.

60 riders joined us for a 10 mile route over the beautiful Woodbury Common, by kind permission of Clinton Devon Estates. The marked route covered heathland and woodland and followed bridleways and country lanes in this area of outstanding natural beauty, followed by soup, a roll and a tea/coffee served by Lou, as well as a Pleasure Ride rosette.

A voucher for a cream tea at Oak Barn Coffee Lounge was won by Roger and Michelle Suckling kindly donated by Oak Barn Coffee Loungs

The Committee would like to thank our sponsor, Huish Horseboxes and all of those who attended, we hope you enjoyed the ride, all of our volunteers (Diane, Lucy, Christine, Tory, Sandra, Becki, Donna and Sue-get well soon) our families (husbands, partners, children, parents) who all muck in and help and support us, without all of this help and support we could not put on our events.

Our next event is our Novice Show with Show Jumping, Showing, Dressage and a Dog Show, which will be held on the 28 May 2023, at Nutwell Court, Lympstone by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Nigel Lee. A full list of classes is available on our website. Entries open on the 29 April at the link below. We look forward to seeing your there.

Membership is also open, so please join as a member for discounts, earn points to win trophies at our Annual Awards Night and attend member only events. https://www.exe-equestrian.co.uk/plans-pricing
